Applied Risk and Toxicology Announces Strategic Partnership with The Regulatory Company

Applied Risk and Toxicology, LLC (ART) has entered into a strategic partnership with The Regulatory Company (TRC) to support the growth of TRC’s services and its cosmetics regulatory and safety software, PRIMS, in the United States and Canada.

The partnership took shape after ART’s Lauren Brown met TRC’s Zoran Gavrić and Jasper ten Brinke at the Independent Beauty Association’s Cosmetics Convergence in May. TRC supports personal care and cosmetics clients in both compliance and safety, recognizing that the two are not always one and the same. Its PRIMS platform brings that work together efficiently, from label reviews and margin of safety calculations for individual products to real-time, automated current and forecasted compliance status across full product portfolios.

Through the partnership, ART will bring a US toxicology perspective to a regulatory landscape that continues to evolve. Between the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA), a growing patchwork of state-level requirements, and the shift toward new approach methods (NAMs) in safety assessment, cosmetics companies increasingly need partners who can bridge science and regulation.

“I was immediately impressed by TRC’s commitment to supporting clients in both compliance and safety,” said Lauren Brown, Founder of ART. “Companies need partners who can connect the science with the regulatory picture, and I’m really looking forward to doing that with TRC.”
